My vocabulary is limited
I've said "awesome" in almost every post so far. I've gotta watch that. I won't say it in this post, I swear.
Oops. Maybe in the next one...
It's just such a great word. Listen to Electric Six's "Dance Commander" and tell me that "awesome" isn't your new favorite word.

Well, it's something.

Honestly, I just wanted to get the first page of my sketchbook drawn in, and I couldn't think of a damn thing. Then, since my hand was bothering me, I decided to do a page on the big-ass burn on it. It may not be great, but it's done. Click on it to be able to actually read it. Man, I wanted to draw it with those huge-ass word panels just so it'd be immediately legible. Ah, well.

Isn't it always the way?
So, I'm a fan of Mike Patton, because he's brilliant. I'm sort of a fan of Loveline, the radio call-in show, because of Dr. Drew, and because of the greatness of the show when Adam Corolla was on it. But, Stryker, the new co-host of the show, is just SO lame, that he makes the show painful to listen to. I mean, of all the possible hosts, they pick the DJ guy with the most annoying lack of personality possible. But anyhow, I've more or less given up the Loveline, and especially today, I listened to some musics instead.
So, of course, Mike Patton was on Loveline tonight. Sigh.
(The show's on a day delay in Kansas, so technically he was on last night, so it's not like I could have called in. But still...)

Doctor Who: Doomsday!
Good holy fucking fuck, does the Tenth Doctor Rule!! (Yes.)
Okay, this episode was brilliant, even if they had to get rid of Rose (played, of course, by the awesome Billie Piper). My favorite bit? The Daleks' response to the Cybermen's request for an alliance.
"Request Denied!" I grin.
"We are five million. How many are you?" asks the Cybermen. I think of how many Cybermen a million is.
"FOUR!" The defiance in the Dalek's voice, there. The confidence, I can't help but laugh. Because the Dalek's right to be confident, but dig it, it gets better.
"You think four Daleks can defeat five million Cybermen?"
"NO! ONE DALEK COULD DEFEAT FIVE MILLION CYBERMEN. YOU ARE SUPERIOR IN ONLY ONE RESPECT!"
"What is that?" asks the Cyber-Leader. Dude, do you want to know?
"YOU ARE BETTER AT DYING!"
If that's not a FUCK YEAH! moment right there, I don't know what is. I lost it.
the Daleks just became my favorite Doctor Who villian.

When Coheed Calls, You Answer the Phone!
My son's so awesome. Last night, he had a hold of my Coheed and Cambria CD (In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth), and was playing it on his little boombox, laughing at the telephone ringing that opens the disc and dancing to the orchestral music that follows it. When it was his bedtime, I told him, "We'll listen to Coheed tomorrow, Henry." Then, I put the CD up on a shelf, and put him down for the night.
Then, this morning, right after breakfast, he goes to the shelf, points up, and says "Coheed!" Because he's awesome and has good taste.
Oh, yeah, he's two and a half by the way. This story'd be less cute if he was like, nine or something.

Dude!
Just after posting that about how awesome Muse is, my buddy Jay borrowed me his copy of the new album "Revelations and Black Holes" to check out. It's just amazing, but now I'm wondering if this sort of thing can work again.
Ahem--"Boy, do I ever love huge bags of cash lying all over my apartment."
Worth a shot.

Oh, man, does Muse rock. Such an incredible sound. Next person that says they sound like Radiohead gets kicked in the taint. I'll do it, too.
Muse was on Loveline the other night, and they revealed some of the band names they had before they went with the name "Muse". My favorite? "Gothic Plauge". If I was in a band, I'd name it Gothic Plauge. Hell, I might just change my name to "Gothic Plauge", since I don't have a band.
You know what else rocks, besides Muse (and Gothic Plauge)? Cybertron Soundwave. It's borderline heresy, but I might like this guy more than the original. And Laserbeak (his lil' bird-partner guy) is an amazing transformer masterpiece. Really.
Signing off now, to go try to finish a story to post up here. Seeya later.
Your Pal,
Gothic Plauge (see, that'd be awesome!)
Third time's the charm!
I've tried to set up blogs before, so we'll see if this works. Because, after all, why should I be the only jackass with spare time on his hands that doesn't have a blog, right?
Good lord, I can't type. I needs me some coffee. Lately, I've had to get up at six-thirty every friggin' day when my ex brings the boy over, and I do not have the sort of job that's conducive to going to bed real early. I'm going to turn into an awesome hallucinatin' zombie, soon.
Although, I think I've always wanted to be an awesome hallucintating zombie, so I'm okay with that.
More later, and hopefully some artwork, since I originally meant to have a comics bloggy thing. I'll try to live up to the "daily" part of the blog's name, but I'm not swearing to anything. If anyone's interested (hah!), I got the name of this blog from my alias (138 Scourge!) on BWTF's forums, the best Transformers message board ever. Yeah, I'm a dork, whaddaya want?
Your pal,
LaRue!
